I need more information, BUT if you have noise in ALL modes, this suggests that there might be a problem in the Power supply for the entire unit. if the power supply is supplying "dirty" power, obviously EVERYTHING in your all-in-one is going to have the same problem.

Another possibility is that you have a problem in the amplifier section - since audio from from each unit (radio, tape&vcr) has to go through the amplifier to get to the speaker. And I'm guessing you hear the noise through the speaker.

Those are my best guesses I have - given the information you've given. If you can give me more information I may be able to help you more specifically. Let me know.

I have a Model BCA209v2233-01 tape,cd,Am/Fm boombox. CD player works but sound is distorted BUT the tape player turns as normal but makes no sound of any kind but the AM/FM is great! What now?

Place a tape into the machine, (One that doesn't matter if recorded over). Engage and release the record mode several times.
Check to see if it now plays a tape as it should.
The distortion could be an amplifier issue or the record/playback switch needed cleaning.

Trying to connect Surround sound system with 3 Other Components!?

hi, you need to have 3 pair of audio-in ports for that. i think your sound system has 3 input ports. ie, 1.tv in ->u can connect this to audio out of your tv 2: vcr in ->u can connect this to audio out port of vcr 3: aux in -> this can be connected to your TV Receiver then you can use the soundsystem remote to switch between the source to listen one at a time. pls come back if u have any thing more sreejith

Have an akai GX-286d goes great in fast fwd until the last 2 inches or so tha slows down is this normal?

Most Reel-to-reel tape decks will slow down as they approach the end of a tape, since the momentum that had built up will have a hard time stopping at the end without stretching the tape (which will distort the sound upon playback)

Akai tv picture no sound

If picture is OK, sound should be there. Check the settings to sound first, ie, 'system' 'mute' etc, by entering the sound menu. If an improper system is selected, the sound will be either absent or distorted. If all the other settings are OK, and still there is no sound, you have to check the audio output section circuit, speakers etc?

Sound distortion on medium volume with radio, cd, aux, ect.

The problem is in the audio driver or output stage which is normally an ic semiconductor, it is recommended that a technician look at the stereo to assess cost.

Aai have the following AKAI Audio Stereo System and no Idea how to connect them. Please help Akai Model AP-D210 turntable Akai model CS-F14 Stereo cassette deck Akai model AT-K110 Fm Am Tuner Akai...

In general, outs to ins.

If nothing else, get the manuals for the preamp and the EQ. You'll probably have to pay for them.

Google it.

Akai PR-A04 preamplifier << This is the control center and where everything comes together.

Akai AP-D210 turntable (ONLY to jacks that say "PHONO"
Akai EA-G40 Stereo Graphic Equalizer (in the Tape 1 Out/In set)
Akai CS-F14 Stereo cassette deck (in the Tape Out/In set of the EQUALIZER) *
Akai AT-K110 Fm Am Tuner (to the Tuner inputs)
Akai DT-100 Audio Tuner (to the Aux inputs)
Akai PA-W04 Amplfier (to the amp outputs)

* This will allow you to Equalize the Tape on the Record or the Playback side.

Read some audio magazines or websites. Get to understand Tape Monitor Loops.

Don't use excessive EQ.

Denon reciever

Sounds like you are exceeding the maximum power output of the receiver. Try disconnecting some speakers (and switch to A-only mode if your model has multi-zone) and see if that makes a difference.
