You should be able to simply use a paper clip (unbent) and push it through the very small hole on the front of the CD tray.
This will manually open the cd tray.

How do I remove/replace the keyboard from a HP Pavillion dv7-2277cl

1. Remove 6 screws from the bottom of the case (as shown). These screws hold the accessory cover.

2. Remove one screw securing the CD/DVD drive. Slide the CD/DVD drive to the left to disconnect it from the motherboard. Remove the CD/DVD drive.

3. Remove all marked screws from the bottom of the notebook.
The yellow circled screws secure the keyboard cover, and the green one secures the HP Pavilion DV7 keyboard.

4. Turn the computer display-side up and open it as far as possible. Insert a guitar pick or small flat screwdriver between the keyboard cover and case and slowly move along the side.

5. Lift the keyboard cover. Be careful, it's still connected to the motherboard. Release the zero insertion force (ZIF) connector and disconnect the cable from the LED board. Remove the keyboard cover.

6. Remove the four screws that secure the HP Pavilion DV7 keyboard.

7. Lift the rear edge of the HP Pavilion DV7 keyboard until it rests at an angle. Slide the keyboard back to disengage the tabs on the front edge of the keyboard from the top cover and rest it on the display.

8. Release the ZIF connector to which the keyboard cable is attached and disconnect the keyboard cable. Remove the HP Pavilion DV7 keyboard.

How to remove cd drive

First, make sure everything is unplugged.
Open your PC case, one of the sides should be accessible via 2 screws. Determine where CD Drive is and which screws hold it in (there is a possibility that you may need to remove the entire case of the Tower). Unplug the cables that connect the Drive, then take the screws that hold the CD Drive out. At this point the Drive should slide out of either the inside or the front of tower. There may be a clip that holds the Drive in place that needs to be pressed while sliding.

Close the Tower back up, that's all you need to do!

Hope I helped!

I do have a problem with my presario M2000 Compaq laptop which whenever i open the laptop, it keep asking me password. Futhermore, my dvd rome cannot response to cd. can u help me. Tq

  1. Disconnect the power cable and any printers, monitors or other peripherals you may have attached your M2000. Lay the laptop face down on a table, with the front of the laptop facing you. Remove the battery by sliding the release latch to the left. The front end of the battery will pop up. Rotate the battery toward the back of the laptop to disengage it from the laptop base.
  2. Locate the hard drive on the right side of the laptop. Remove the two screws holding the hard drive cover in place and remove the cover. The hard drive will have a mylar tab on it to help remove it. Grab the tab and lift up on the left side of the hard drive until it disconnects from the motherboard. Pull the hard drive straight up to remove it from the hard drive bay.
  3. Remove the single screw holding the optical drive in place. Stick the end of a bent paper clip into the disk tray release hole on the optical drive, located on the front of the disk tray. This will eject the disk tray. Grab the tray and slide the optical drive out of the laptop base.
  4. Remove the memory modules. The memory compartment is located in the center of the M2000. Remove the two screws holding the cover in place and remove the cover. Use your fingers to spread the latches on the sides of the memory modules and slide the modules out of the sockets.
  5. Remove the mini PCI card by first removing the last cover on the bottom of the M2000. Remove the screws on the cover and remove the cover to reveal the mini PCI card. Disconnect the white and black wireless antenna cables from the card. Spread the latches on the sides of the card and slide it out of the socket. Disconnect the antenna cables from the clip attaching them to the laptop base.
  6. Remove the keyboard cover and LED board by first removing the two screws in the battery bay. These hold the keyboard cover in place. Flip your laptop over and open it up. Slide a flat-head screwdriver into the notch behind the "F1" key to unlock the keyboard cover. Do the same thing at the "F5," F11," and "Insert" keys. Pull the cover up to remove it. The LED board is under the cover. Disconnect the data cable from the motherboard and remove the two screws holding the board in place. Remove the board.
  7. Remove the keyboard by first removing the four screws holding the keyboard in place. Lift the back end of the keyboard up and tip it over so it is resting face down on the palm rest of your M2000. Disconnect the data cable from the motherboard and remove the keyboard.
  8. 8 Remove the display panel by first disconnecting the video cable from the motherboard. Disconnect the wireless antenna cables from the clips attaching them to the top cover of your laptop. Remove the six screws holding the display panel in place. Lift the display panel off of the laptop base.
  9. Remove the base enclosure by removing the three screws on the top of the laptop connecting the top to the base enclosure. Flip the laptop over and lay it face down with the front toward you. Remove the 18 screws holding the base enclosure in place. Lift the rear end of the base enclosure up until it comes free from the laptop. Once it's free, slide it back to remove it.
  10. Disconnect and remove any remaining components including the speakers, Bluetooth module and USB card. All of them are removed by the same procedure. Disconnect the cables from the motherboard and remove any screws holding the components in place. Lift the components straight up to remove them.
  11. Disconnect the fan cable running from the cooling unit to the motherboard. Remove the three screws holding the cooling unit in place and lift it straight up to remove it. To remove the CPU, turn the locking screw counter-clockwise until it clicks. Grab the CPU by the edges and lift it straight up. Put the CPU in an antistatic bag for safekeeping.
  12. Remove the motherboard by first disconnecting the touchpad cable and remove the five screws holding the motherboard in place. Lift it up by the left side and remove it from the enclosure.

How to take out a sticker stuck inside the burner?

Open the computer case, disconnect the power and data cables from the drive and remove it from the case. How you do this will depend on the type of case your computer has. There may be screws on both sides of the drive, one side only, or no screws in a tool-less case where there will be some kind of release tabs so you can slide the drive out.

Once you have the drive out of the computer, there are four screws in the bottom that hold the drive together. Take those out, take off the top cover and you'll be able to get at whatever's stuck in the drive. Just be careful if the sticker is near the laser lens. If you poke too hard the pickup assembly can be damaged and you'll be replacing the drive.

In fact, with new drives only around $30, it might be easier and just as cost-effective simply to replace it right off.

Cd stuck in my acer aspire L3600 which doesnt have a drawer

The L3600 doesn't have an emergency hole so you need to disassemble the cover. MAKE SURE IT'S UNPLUGGED FROM THE AC POWER BEFORE GOING FURTHER! I would only suggest this if your warranty has run out. Remove the screw at the back under the warranty label then slide the top cover backwards and remove it. You will see 3 strap type black plastic catches towards the front of the computer, lift each one to unclip the front then lay it forward (it will still be attached by a cable, leave it connected). You should then see a metal catch under the CD/DVD Drive, lift it then slide the CD/DVD player out of it's housing, remove the Ribbon Cable at the back but make sure you know how to reconnect it. Remove the 3 small screws from the top and the two on the side holding the metal cover on top of the Drive then take the cover off, you should now be able to lift out the CD. Do the reverse of the above to reassemble your computer and there you go.

Cd stuck in Acer Aspire L3600

If you look on the door of your cd drive next to the button you push to eject the cd there is a small hole.  This is essentially the ememrgency release.  Unfold a paper clip and push it straight into the hole.  Once it releases you will feel the paperclip pushing down on a button.  you will feel and hear the drawer release.

Replace CD-Rom Drive

solution: open front blue magnetic case door, look on either side of the power button, there are finger holes in the other blue cover.
lift out from bottom to top. this cover comes off, not the whole
case. inside find tabs next to cd drive, squeeze and pull out. note: the side sliders were they come out, they will come off the
cd drive when removed. it is easier to replace the top drive by removing the bottom drive, put in the top half way, then put bottom back in half way and slide them in together.

voice of experience. hope this helps
