Need help reconfiguring my modem

Can not reconfigure my vpi and vci settings on windows vista for my dlink dsl-200 modem

Do not use the dsl-200 modem with vista, I have never had so many problems installing a modem. Repeated time outs with the new vista driver, the unorthodox setup and 'dial up' methods, make this modem a nightmare to contend with. Get a good quality modem, this is a piece of junk.

it will work if the subscription would also be an adsl line. but you need to know the new providers settings including type of connection (pppoe, dhcp, etc) and the vci settings. once you place the settings correctly, it will work.

Modem un-compatibility

there is dsl 200 driver for Vista. the best you can do is Windows XP. you still may have problem even at that. the following link explains the installation issue the dsl200 have with Windows OS.

Dsl-200 driver in vista 64 bit

See the manufactors web site below. Their are no VISA drivers available for your modem. I am sorry to say that your only opting may be a different (VISTA) compatable modem.
