On Internet explorer on the right hand side you should see "tools" click on that button and a drop-down appears -
look for toolbars
click on toolbars and another menu drops out
There you can see all the toolbars the PC knows about and if there's a tick against it - then it should be displayed - if not tick - then click on it and a tick should appear and the toolbar should also appear
To add favorites toolbar, click tools then select toolbars and see the listo f toolbar options. From that list, just select favorites. Or you can also use the shortcut, control+shift+I. This applies to both Internet explorer 7 and 8.
As an alternate, you may also opt to do the following: press alt+A for favories or alt+E to view edit menu
You can show or hide the Menu bar, Favorites or Links bar, Command bar, and status bar. Here's how:
Open Internet Explorer by clicking the Start button , and then clicking Internet Explorer.
Click the Tools button, point to Toolbars, and then click the toolbar you want to show or hide.
