I just go this as a gift today and its not working. Could my battery be dead already? Do I have to whined it up or something?

Depress time piece button all the way in, if it is already in this is the on position and the battery is most likely dead and needs replaced at your local watch shop or jewelers
press the helpful button.

Reset it by removing the battery.

No worries - just replace the battery. As the battery was fitted at the time of watch assembly, it is actually already old. The seconds hand movement by 5sec increments indicates low battery power, so, next time you see that - you will know what to do.

Hi. Take the watch into any jewelry store and ask them to assist you. It may be something simple such as a dead battery. J.

MY suggestion would be to take to a local jeweler/watchmaker to see if its the battery. They should have a battery tester to check to see if that is the case. Probably is.
If its NOT the battery, it seems like its defective and I would start inquiring where they bought the watch. I know. Tricky, because it was a gift, but well, they would want to know too

You change the battery on the back.Open it with your fingernails or with a real skinny object.

I would return it sounds not like a batt. problem but internal mechanical. If you have a reciept dont deal with a potential problem get a replacement.

The watch is scrolling through the seconds, and is not something that needs to be set. If there is a bottom it is only there to change the way the seconds are scrolling? There are many different types of these, but most are just standard seconds.
