Mains fuse blew. Replaced. Oven will not now heat up. Oven lights, clock, oven fan, igniter all work OK. Checked oven elements and all appear OK.
Suggestions please.
Many thanks
John

Check to see if one of the oven elements are burned into if you have an oven cord on it turn the breaker off and check the cord where it connects to the oven

The top cooling fan is not working which cools the electrics above the oven and the control panel at the front. It could be the fan is faulty , the pcb which controls it is faulty - inside back panel on right. There is also a resistor on the power to the fan which burns out. All easy do it yourself fixes if you are electrical competent.
This tutorial will show you how to check your Smeg element and how to replace your Smeg cooker element.
Here are the 3 main faults to look for in your oven or cooker that is not heating
Your oven will not work until the clock/timer has been re-set after replacing an oven element or tripping the electrical supply. Consult your Smeg manual.
If your Oven is not getting hot or heating up it could be a faulty element, if the fan in the oven is running and the thermostat light is on, this will lead us to believe that the element has gone faulty. With grills the thermostat light should come on there should be heat, if not then this could be the grill element or the thermostat.
When you turn the oven on, the household electrical supply trips on the Rcd (this is the earth trip in the fuse board sometimes called the breaker tripping) your fan oven element has gone to earth and needs replacing.
most likely thermal fuse behind oven take off back plate and you will see the brown wire with the heat shrink sleeving covering the fuse.wire and fuse comes as one part
there is a safety stat/fuse on top of the oven exterior i think you will find that it also has blown. Make sure you have isolated the appliance at the fuse board first though, Good Luck
the fan element would have blown. it is not uncommon for an element to trip an rcd when it blows. you are on the right track, if you replace the element all your problems should go away
most common fault is the cooling fan is failing to come on, whreas the fan will be okay ( check windings with ohmn meter ) it will normally have a ceramic 10k resitor in series with the live which goes open circiut
Either teh grill element or the oven heating element is fault or the thermostat or grill regulator, locate which element is warm, if the grill then it is most likely the regulator, if it is the oven it is the thermostat.
