It looks like the AV2 input is on the side (the right side when facing the back of the TV). AV1 is on the bottom of the right hand stack of inputs on the back. However, the manufacturer says that the arrangement may vary. Pick up a flashlight and magnifying glass to help you read the labels.

Kate what did you plug the cables into I suspect it was a grey cable with a red , white and yellow plugs. If I am correct this cable should be plugged into the AV1 or AV2 input port of your television. Try changing the input source to AV1 or AV2 Check it is plugged to AV1 on the Television and not into Conponent input !
The Input button on the original remote is needed to switch to the AV1 or AV2 connections. Unfortunately, I do not believe that the Sanyo DS27930 has an equivalent Input button on the TV. A replacement remote is available here: http://www.emtcompany.com/sanyo-ds27930-remote/rc64.html . Other universal remotes may be able to transmit the Input signal. You will need a remote that was programmed over 6 months after the TV was released with an Input or Source button. Then try all Sanyo codes until you find one that controls all of the features.
You should try them all. Usually, it's a RCA connection for a brand new Wii. The Input channel should be called AV1 or AV2, Depending on the number of inputs you have. The Input channel is usually written near the connection itself.
make sure your cords are in properly. You may have to get a new set of cords from ebay or your local electronics store. Also NOTE: Most TV's have AV1, AV2, Component, then Cable. AV1 and AV2 are both ports(usually on the sides and back), thatyou plug the audio and video into. Make sure both of these have no video or audio before you go out to purchase new cords.
If you have the AV inputs, use them. Use AV1, not AV2.
(If you use the AV2 input, there might be action delay between the controllers and the Wii.)
If you don't, just select VIDEO 2.
The Wii will work on the TV. Just try plugging into the ports labeled AV1 or AV2. The red, yellow, and white holes should line in a row with AV1 and AV2.
After you have them plugged in, press the INPUT button on the TV or the remote to get to the AV1 or AV2. It should work after that. :)
Brad, AV-1 INPUT, be advised this will use up the AV1 port so if you have another item that uses regular AV cables you`ll then have to use AV2 for the video in and L&R audio in, enjoy, BMW Rider
