Set timer to 5 hours running. How long does it stay off before turning back on for another 5 hrs

Once the timer turns the unit ON and it runs for 5 hours and turns OFF, you have to manually restart it again. It will not turn back ON automatically,

In case you may have misplaced your Owner's Manual, I have included a link to it, to assist you further. You may download and print the manual for future reference, if you like.

The LG unit turns on but does not run. i have tried to turn DOWN the humidity % but it will not let me go less than 60%. I have cleaned the filter and cleared the drain hose. What else can I do?

Turn the unit OFF and unplug it for 15 minutes.
Then plug the unit back in and turn it ON. During that 15 minute timeout, the unit's electronics may have reset themselves and reverted back to the original factory settings. If it did, you can now set the controls as you like.

Hope this helps you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

Was full - turned off to empty - replaced empty bucket, won'r turn back on and keeps beeping full

Try reinserting the bucket, making sure that it's positioned properly. So that the safety switch is engaged. If that still doesn't solve the problem. Turn the MASTER ON/OFF Switch to OFF and unplug the unit from the wall outlet. Wait 12 - 15 minutes and plug the unit back in. Turn the MASTER ON/OFF Switch to ON and hopefully, if the bucket is positioned properly, the unit will have reset itself.

Hope this helps you to solve the problem. Please let me know.

SETTING THE MACHINE TO TURN ON
1. Make sure the dehumidifier is plugged in but turned off.
2. Press the button with the clock symbol below it.

4. After you have stopped pressing the arrow buttons the display will return to the original display showing temperature and relative humidity.
5. After the above steps are completed the dehumidifier will turn ON in the number of hours that you have set (programmed).

'bucket full' light on, but bucket empty

There is likely a switch operated by a float to turn that light on and turn off the compressor, sometimes manufactures use a rubber "O" ring on the float shaft and they can slip. take the cover off the pump and check the float or in some cases one of two floats are used. Once float turns the pump on and off and the second float shuts OFF the compressor and turns ON the full reservior light.

Dehumidifier doesn't draw in water (humidity).

It may be too cool in the basement for it to work. Mine doesn't work if its 67 or below. Take it upstairs and see if it works there, where it is warmer.

Fan quitting on unit

Maybe the room is dry enough so the humidity sensor is turning it off?

If not, maybe the thermisensor(fuse) on the fan motor is failing?

Dh305y6 keeps shutting of within minutes

sounds like you need to replace your humidistat control. this is just like a thermostat on an air conditioning system, except inside of sensing temp and turning off, it senses humidity and turns off.
