sounds like the motor bearing has gone and the pastic your finding is the bearing housing the loud noise is the drum banging on the side of the machine, you will need new bearing or bushes it will still work just be noisey and will get even louder eventually.
hello sorry to say that it sound like the bearing have gone you can do quick test open the door grab hold of the drum pull up and down if this moves freely then the bearing have gone
It sounds like the bearings have collapsed..You may have noticed a noisy spin cycle prior to loosness in the inner drum...This is a big job. Get quotes...Good luck...Nomess
Remove the belt, and spin drum by hand from inside, there should be little or no noise, if there is then it is possible the drum bearings are failing.
I f no noise, but there is when you put belt back on, then possibly bearing in motor noisy
Had the same problem on a machine I worked on. Changed the belt... was burnt and broken. Second time I replaced the belt, I ran it through all of the cycles and listened to it on SPIN cycle.. Although it's spinning.. it's making an extremely LOUD noise... It's the Spin bearing that is gone out. When a load is put in, and in spin cycle, the bearing is oveloaded..(being dry).. and putting extreme pressure on the motor and belt. When the drum reaches a point where the bearing just won't spin, the belt stops, and spins on the motor pulley, wearing it through.. (And smoking a great deal).. until it breaks.. again. I believe the top "Spin bearing" is about 75.00 or so.. and a BEAR to replace. Hope this helps
i had the same problem check the holes inside the drum for a bra wire stuck in one of them which was my problem we also thought the bearings had gone but they were not hope this helps
