I suspect both of you have a failed main power supply, this model may not be well-protected against brownouts or surges.
The main supply is usually a separate board and if you remove the lower rear panel, look for a board that seems to be related to the AC line and has larger components than the other boards.
Some of them will be cylindrical and others block-like.
Look for a board number since this is a component that is often outsourced and may not be from the same manufacturer in every set.
Call the nearest service center to inquire about repair or replacement costs.
I have a WD-52725 and I can get it to come on for about 10 min then it goes off and the green light will blink and I can't turn it back on. The only way to get it back on is to unplug it for a while and then plug it back in and the same thing happens again. Any thoughts?
Or the capacitors are Bad where board 3 will not talk to board 1
tyhat is 1,2,3 as they are installed it the chassis
