For the complete format : Nokia 5300 is a BB5 mobile based on S40 3-rd edition platform - only way to full format of disk C: is to use one of service devices such as JAF, MT-Nokia, HWK etc.

that code can't works at 5300,its only you can do for phone like 6600,7610 (WD 2).for 5300 go to setting than restore factory setting with code 12345.

First you should connect data cable to your system9which is given with your box),then select nokia mode,then open my computer there you will find two drives(1st is phone memory and 2nd will be memory card)click on phone memory,right click on that,go to format option and format your phone memory.remove data cable after formatplug back into your computer you will find nothing inside it a fully new phone...enjoy!

Krishashu, you cant format the phone. formatting means that you erase everything on the phone including the firmware and the data. It does not allow you to do that. You can however format the card and loose the data on it and reduce its life.

If yes ,
yeah there are some kind of applications which are hidden and consuming ur all phone memory, sou now need to format ur phone memory. but before formattiing ur phone memory, save ur all contacts and other data which is in ur phone memory once it is formatted then u will loose ur all contents in ur phone memory, to format ur phone follow this. apply this code *#7370# or *#7780# , it will ask u resetting will change all ur phone settings to original. select yes. once u will press yes it will prompt u for security code. fill security( 12345) code ur phone screen will turn to big nokia logo for meantime once will get formatted ur phone will start.

just remove your MMC n just type *#7370# n will ask u the security code.type it out (default code is 12345 )
NOTE: battery must b full, else if format is disrupted by low batt, consequences will b disastrous
I heard the code *#7780# works too, pretty much the same i think.
