Cant connect to dlink router from laptop =(

connect your computer to the router by an ethernet cable. Open Internet explorer or FIREFOX. Type the roiuter's default IP-address (if not known: its either 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.0 or 192.168.1.0... keep trying until you're answered and asked for the password to enter the router (either attached on the router, in the manual or try: user: admin password: admin or password: password. Whgen you're in you'll find many checkboxes you could fill oput or notr; Easyway: give your net a name (SSID), then choose the network access security (set it to wpa-psk), choose a password and enable DHCP (then the router does the rest). Disconnect, look if the computer sjhows reception of your netwoirk by displaying its name. then connect. You will be asked for the password you chose. Done.

So that means you are able to connect to the network with the ethernet cable only.
Did yopu try to connect to the wireless network ?
And if yes then what was the error message ?

since your laptops recognize the network, you need to access the wireless utility (windows or the one that you're using) to configure the connection. you may have to type in the passkey for the network if you're using one.

Can you get a pc to connect to the internet? If you can, what IP address does HUGHES assign? If it is in the range of 192.168.0.X then change the DEFAULT GATEWAY address of the router to something like 192.168.10.1 (out of the box it should be set to 192.168.0.1)

check wther your wireless in on and even check that on router mac filtering is on,problm mite b your laptop is not getting detected by your router,jus check wther both are on,

Disable the IPV6 and use the IPV4 then try accessing the configuration page of the router and configure the Internet Settings
