There should be a small junction box under the dishwasher behind the front toe panel. There should be three wires:

BLACK - HOT (120VAC)
WHITE - NEUTRAL (0 VAC)
GREEN - GROUND

You can purchase a three conductor power cord from any hardware store. A 3-prong power tool power cord works the best, as they have a durable outer sheathing and have good current handling properties.

Simply match the corresponding colors (black to black, white to white) and ground the green wire to the chassis. There should be a ground lug somewhere to connect it to.

Use wire lugs when splicing wires together and use the wire strain relief (if equipped) on the junction box. The strain relief is located at the point where the wire enters the junction box and keeps the wires from inadvertently being pulled.

If you have any questions, please post back and let me know. I hope this helps you.

I WHICH TO PURCHASE SOME HEADPHONES FOR SRF 59

follow this steps and fix it. God bless you
    • 1
Locate the faulty connection along your cord. Plug in your headphones and play sound through them as you jiggle the cord at various points to locate what part of the cord is cutting in and out.
    • 2
Cut the cord using wire cutters an inch or so past where the fault in the cord is. If this is at the connector, cut the entire connector piece off. If it is near the headphones, cut off enough to eliminate the faulty section and still allow the cord to be reconnected.

    • 3
Strip the end of the cut cord. There are three wires in the cord: the left channel, the right channel and the ground. The left and right normally are colored, and the ground is bare.
    • 4
To repair a poor connection where the cord meets the headphones, match the wires with the correct leads coming from the earpieces and twist them together. Wrap the wires with electrical tape.
    • 5
To repair a bad connection at the connector jack, acquire a new 1/8-inch connector and attach the cord's inner wires to the appropriate points on the connector. Connect the left channel wire to the tip, the right channel wire to the ring, and the ground wire to the sleeve. Solder all the wires in place.
    • 6
Connect the headphones to a sound source and test for proper function. Jiggle the cord at the new connection to make sure it is secure and does not cut in and out.

I have a shu43 bosch dishwasher and the whole machine is dead. No power. The circuit breaker is good but I would have to pull the dishwaher out to check the outlet. Is there an internal fuse?

There is no internal fuse (at least I've not seen or replaced any) on Bosch dishwashers. The most typical problems for Bosch are: 1) one of the power cord connections to the internal wiring is corroded and doesn't make a contact; or 2) the power button has failed.

The number one is so far the most common problem. To check: Turn off the power to the dishwasher by any means necessary. Remove the kick panel on the bottom. There should be a small metal box with power cord and 2 or 3 wires coming into it. Remove screw(s) holding the cover on that box. There should be 2 or 3 wires connected to the power cord wires by wire nuts. Any burnt insulation or wire nut will be the problem area. Cut burnt wires, remove 1/2" of insulation and clean of both connecting wires to bare copper. If you have an electrical contact grease - apply to copper. Install new wire nut.

Good luck,

How do you replace the electrical cord on a dd603

Hello,
You would need to remove the lower drawer and the plastic cap on the mains filter board. The link below explains how to remove the lower drawer and access the main filter board.
The plastic cap is held down with small tabs, depress the tabs and slide the cover off. The power cord is screwed down to the mains filter.

Electrical cord on a maytag model # MDB6

Ususally built in ones dont have a cord they're hard wired in. If where you want to put it has a outlet you could always buy a cord recommended for it and wire it.

I have a Kenmore Diswasher model. 587.15103801 - My question is - can I wire a 3 prong power cord to it? If so, what do I need to purchase? Thanks

The dishwasher SHOULD have a three prong cord, or be hardwired using using a 3 conductor electrical wire capable of handing 15 to 20 amps (12 or 10 gauge wire). If you desire to use a cord with a plug on the end, you can purchase a power tool replacment cord rated at 15 amps or higher from the hardware store (I have found power tool replacement cords to be very durable). Make sure you purchase one that is long enough the accomodate pulling the dishwasher out from under the counter, if required. The power cord is installed in a junction box behind the lower toe panel that's located directly below the door. The wire color coding is as follows:

BLACK - HOT (120 VAC)
WHITE - NEUTRAL (0 VAC)
GREEN - GROUND

Match the color wires with the wires inside the dishwasher junction box and twist together using wire lugs. Attach the ground wire to the appropriate ground lug.

If you have questions, please let me know. I hope this helps you.
