Our Kenmore Elite HE3 Model prefix is 110 stops during the rince and spin cycle,beeps, and desplays F dL or F 11. The door light is not on, but the door is locked. We were able to start and complete the cycle by numberous attemps in pressing pause/cancel,drain & spin and a few other combinations. Is there anything you could suggest.

yes!! the F/11 is triggered under high voltage conditions like high speed spinning. The part is called the MCU motor control unit. if it goes into failure while using your machine and locks the door, just wait 3 minutes and the door will unlock after the MCU resets. Try using you machine with a low speed spin for awhile.

your dl (door latch) is broken replace it you can order it from searsparts.com

F/06 Drive Motor Tachometer Error
The control is unable to properly detect motor speed and the machine will shut down. If a failure occurs during high-speed spin, the door will be unlocked after 3 minutes.

• Check wire harness connections between the Drive Motor/Tachometer and the Motor Control Unit (MCU), and between the MCU and the Central Control Unit (CCU)
• Check the Drive Motor
• Check the MCU
• Check the Wire Harness

possible door lock failure fdl/error code f-11- maybe f-2 pump,,,

The door will stay locked if the machine did not drain properly. Try running a Drain & Spin cycle.
