My hotpoint WT965 displays F02 error and wont spin?

Before you replaced the element, were you using the self cleaning cycle? Its main purpose is to break parts, and keep makers in business selling spares :>/ F02 is an overheat situation.

HiMy wmd960 keeps showing an F02 error

if its a top loader check the lid switch ,it might be going off balance ,rearrange the clothes evenly

Suspect bearings. With door open wiggle the top of the silver drum If it moves up and down inside the tub, replace the bearings

'F12' for Hotpoint (and other names made by Indesit!) decodes as 'communications error' which sounds major BUT is not uncommon in these machines and is often caused by poor contact between plugs/ cables and the control PC hence the intermittancy- just needing re-seating- by an engineer ;-0(

F02 Long Drain If the drain time exceeds 8 minutes, the water valves are turned off and F02 is flashed.

Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display.

NOTE: After 4 minutes the "Sud" error will be displayed, then 4 minutes later the F02 error code will be displayed.

Potential Causes

• Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked
• Check the electrical connections at the pump and make sure the pump is running.
• Check the drain pump filter for foreign objects
• If the above does not correct the problem replace the pump

F05 - Pressure switch jammed on full - Check pump for blackages. Also resetting the machine sometimes solves the problem switch off at plug for 5 mins then switch back on and try again. hop this helped

Error code F02 is indicating a motor tacho problem, it could be jammed or have become detached.
Check all connections on motor, plug motor lead , and the control module.

Communication error the main module could be at fault (PCB)
This is located byhind the switches under the top, don't attempt to have a look though
