Small problem with SCX-4200

I think you should take all unused papers out, close tray and predd print button. If there is paper in the system, it may come out. A red light may also flash asking you to load papers. Now lod the papers and the red light will go off. Put a printed paper and try copying. If it copies, you are ok. Now print from your cpmputer command. If it prints you are ok. If it does not and you get paper jam warning, there may be a small piece of paper stuck in the system. You have to open each feeder and see if you find anything. Good luck.

please remove your paper cassette.

and there have paper sensor(it's black colour and its like a hook) between paper cassette and machine.
it's broken

When you say smudges, can you wipe the toner from the page with your fingers; or is it just smearing when it prints; but, the toner is affixed to the paper?

1) If you can smear it with your fingers; replace the fuser. It's not heating the toner properly
2) If it is smearing, but sticking; replace the DRUM.

it is only happned when you takes only photocopy ? or Printing... The same will be affect while printing and copying may be the problem related to Laser Supply unit, open the LSU and clean the LSU mirror with a cotton waste. Your issues must be solve....
before that pls. check your cartridge unit...

Display and Meaning

[Paper Jam 0] - Paper has Jammed in the feeding area of the paper input tray.
[Paper Jam 1] - Paper has jammed in the fuser area or in the manual feeder.
[Paper Jam 2] - Paper has jammed in the paper exit area.

By using the Duplex button on your machine, you can set the machine to
print copies on both sides of paper.
1 Press Duplex.
2 Load originals face up in the ADF.
3 Press the Scroll buttons until the binding option you want appears.
• Off: Prints in Normal mode.
• 1->2Side Short: Prints pages to be read by flipping like a note
pad.
• 1->2Side Long: Prints pages to be read like a book.
• 2->1Side: Scans both sides of the original and prints each of them
on separate two papers. (SCX-6322DN only)
• 2->2Side: Scans both sides of the original and prints them on both
sides of a paper, this function produce exactly the same print out
from the original. (SCX-6322DN only)
• 2->1Side Rotate2: Scans both sides of the original and prints one
of them on separate two papers, but the information on back side
of the original is printed 180° rotated. (SCX-6322DN only)
4 Press OK to save your selection.
If the mode is enabled, the Duplex button is backlit.

Collation

You can set the machine to sort the copy job. For
example, if you make 2 copies of a 3 page original,
one complete 3 page document will print followed by a
second complete document.
1 Press Copy.
2 Load originals face up into the ADF.
For details about loading an original, see
page 5.1.
3 Enter the number of copies using the number
keypad.
4 Press Menu until Copy Feature appears on the
bottom line of the display and press OK.
5 Press OK when Copy Collation appears.
6 Press the Scroll buttons to select Yes.
7 Press OK or Start to begin copying.
One complete document will print

You need to change the pick up rollers for your printer if it pulling the paper unevenly... but first check to see that the paper size adjuster on the tray i self is set to your paper likeness.....adjust to the correct paper size if not...

remove the toner box then clean the black colour roller with a wet smooth cloth.

Check the paper size within the menu as sometimes causes this fault.

there 9is a paer sensor which senses when there r papers ,prob might b that either it is not functioning or on of the sensor is depressed
