The easiest way to patch a hole in a vinyl pool liner is with the water still in the pool. With an inexpensive underwater repair kit, some swimming goggles and a few hours to allow the patch to cure, you will be back to enjoying your aquatic playground. jQuery('.intro .thumbnail').each(function(i,e){ jQuery(e).find('img').one('error',function(){ jQuery(e).remove(); }); }); Difficulty: Easy Instructions Things You'll Need:

  • Pool repair kit (underwater) Rag Scissors Swimsuit Swimming goggles
  1. Step 1 Locate the tear in the liner. You may need to get into the pool and examine the surface wearing swimming goggles.
  2. Step 2 Read the patching kit instructions thoroughly before starting the job.
  3. Step 3 Clean debris from the area around the tear using a rag.
  4. Step 4 Use scissors to cut a patch for the hole. Use the vinyl from the repair kit to for the patch. Be sure it is at least 2 inches in diameter and will cover the entire hole.
  5. Step 5 Use applicator brush that comes with kit to apply adhesive to the back of the vinyl patch. Do not apply too much adhesive or the patch will not cure properly.
  6. Step 6 Fold the patch in half. The adhesive should be on the inside of the fold.
  7. Step 7 Enter the poolI have two holes in the bottom of my pool how do I - 2_bing.gif water and relocate the area in need of patching. If hole is accessible from the outside of the pool, there is no need to get into water.
  8. Step 8 Hold patch underwater as close to the hole as possible. Unfold patch while underwater and apply to the hole.
  9. Step 9 Press the patch firmly while smoothing it from the center to the outside edges. This will help remove any excess air bubbles or water from under the patch surface.
  10. Step 10 Let patch cure as indicated on repair kit instructions.

Goodday i have a intex pool notice water missing over a course of a week think it is a very small hole as big as a pin how can i find the hole please help

If the hole is in the bottom of the pool it will be extremely difficult to find. I assume you have looked around all the sides for wet spots already. How much water are you losing? Are you sure it is the pool leaking and not the pump or filter? Look everywhere!

How to set up the filter

Please be more specific as this is not a difficult job to do ,3 holes ?? if you have three holes then it needs repairing surely ,now you should have a on small domestic pool two skimmers and tow jets a drain in the bottom and maybe another one on the side for cleaning ,now the one for the cleaning and the two from the skimmers all go to the inlet on the filter head along with the drain if fitted on the bottom of the pool each pipe has a line stop **** in it,the outlet from the filter head goes to the jets at the other end of the pool, Its that simple honest

SMALL HOLE BOTTOM OF 15 x 4 metal frame pool. believe a small pebble caused it. water leaking out is there a way to save the poolwithout draining and taking it apart?

Try this....
You will need;
Pool liner patch kit
Goggles
Body weight to hold you down while doing repair under water.

Most liner repair kits have instructions on wet applications. Cut a piece of the liner kit fabric to cover the entire hole plus at least 1/2" around. You will need to dive in with a mask/goggles to see the hole. Put a thin layer of glue on the patch and spread evenly.. Fold in half on the glue side and go down to the bottom of the pool. Note...The weights will help you stay at the bottom for this part of the repair.. QUICKLY!!! while holding the patch next to the hole. open the patch and place on the hole and push firmly for a few seconds. Come up and place your foot on the patch and hold for 3 minutes or so. Should work...It took me several times to master this technique when I had a hole at the bottom of my pool... Caution!!! You don't need a lot of weight to stay at the bottom. Test from light to heavy until you think you have enough to do the repair..
Good luck and hope this will help you!! If this works for you, please rate!

Do not know how to install the filter to the pool, misplaced the instructions

1 - Connect your shortest hose from the bottom of your skimmer (if your pool came with one) to the lowest hole in your pool.
2 - Connect another hose (if I remember correctly, the 2 remaining hoses are the same length - if not, use the shorter of the two) from the outside of the lowest hole to the bottom place on your filter.
3 - Connect the final hose from the top place on your filter to the highest hole on your pool.

Your pool's water leaves your pool thru the lower hole & enters the filter. The filter then returns the water to your pool thru the highest hole.

If your pool did not come with a skimmer, you need to be sure to screw the vent cover over the lowest hole. You will need to screw the vent cover to the highest hole as well, but this is MOST important with the lowest hole as the suction could cause serious injury or even death to anyone (especially a child) who unsuspectingly gets too near. The suction could 'grab' a child and harm him/her or even cause the child to become trapped underwater. Please don't forget to correctly secure this spot of your pool.

I just put up a intex metal frame pool and i noticed water leaking at the bottom I can't find the hole how can i find it and fix it I had just bought the pool

Well there are two solutions.
1st: fill the pool with water. (yes it will be leaking)
Get a small bowl and put some dish soap in it.
Next tape a sponge or a rag (or something you can apply the soap with) and scrub down the sides with the soap. Because the soap reacts with water and releases oxygen (or Co2, I'm not sure) when it does, it will bubble up and reveal where the leak is.
I think that's the most reliable way. Another way is only reliable if the leak is large. You can make everyone get out of the pool and listen very carefully at each side. If the leak is large enough you'll hear a sizzling.
I think that the first method would be more efficient, but the second sounds like it might do the job as well and would be easier.
To fix the hole, I believe that you'll have to fix it with a patch kit. The link below lists a few different options. It's essential to have a patch kit when you have a vinyl above ground pool because it's incredibly easy to get a hole in the side. I'd suggest buying a quality patch kit to insure that the patch lasts. You don't wanna waste the 120+ dollars on annoying recurring holes in the side.

My 14' pool is leaking from the bottom slowly. 1" per 26hrs. I can not find a hole. No water on the sides of the pool. It is leaking out from under it. How do I find the hole. I have patched holes...

Using goggles I inspect the bottom and looking at each individual speck on the bottom. Sometimes what looks like debris is actually a hole though it seems it would take a good size hole to leak that much. Check the seam by gently trying to spread it.
