Hi there one of the biggest reasons for not getting cold which will affect the ice maker also is -- low or no air flow.
2 areas - 1) inside the freezer section are vents and they should have some clear areas (our freezer often gets crammed full of stuff)
2) under and behind the fridge is a dust bunny breeding area - pull the fridge out and get as much dust and stuff off the coils as possible (I use a vacuum and a small paint brush). The coils transfer the heat out of the fridge like an air conditioner. Be gentle - coils are somewhat fragile.
Some fridges have a faceplate that pops off at the front.
Try adjusting the levelers on the bottom I like to see 1/4 bubble on a level if you don't have a level no problem just so it slopes to the back. good luck Tom
s it should the ambient temperatures that you said are way to cold to expect the freezer to operate properly. move it indoors and or contact the manufacture and see if the have a kit to put on the unit to work properly.
just about all friges work off the frezer .the evap fan moves the air fromthe frezer to the frig.so you would here fan noise.i dont know your brand but on most frezers if you turn the frezer temp to the highest setting thats acomplished by keeping the air from going to the frige.hence warmer frig temps .also make sure fan on out side back is working and condenser is clean.again turn air damper control from frezer to frige to lowest setting .somthimes this could be in frig section.God bless ,tom
defrost drain is blocked - probably with ice. take the back panel off inside the freezer and melt the ice off with a hairdryer then follow up with hot water till it flows away freely. this takes some patience. if fault reoccurs then get back to me
