Shinning, Unplug your appliance,wait 10 minutes and plug back in to see if error goes away. F1 could mean a defective touch control pad. You may have to find a good repair Tech. to diagnose and estimate repair. Check the attached links,instruction and guides, Good luck

F1 - E0 EEPROM communication error 1. Disconnect power for at least 30 seconds.
2. Re-apply power and observe for at least one minute.
3. If code re-appears, replace control board (also called ERC or clock).

Note: Applies to all F1-E... codes except F1-E3. That us usually a fatal error of the control board unfortunately. the control may need replacing.

f1 code is a communication error with the main board.the main EOC needs to be replaced.you can unplug the unit for a few minutes and reseat all the wiring connector on the back of the board make sure they are all seated properly.check you main power terminal block and ensure there are no problems with it.

There is a recall for the Cabrio F1 error code issue. I had mine fixed for free. They will have to replace the control board. You will need to call 1-800-253-1301 and tell them that your Cabrio washer is having the F1 error code and you read on the internet that Whirlpool has been making repairs. Have your model number, serial number, and purchase date ready for the person on the phone. The guy that repaired mine also replaced the washboard at the bottom for free...just ask the tech about it when he is there.

F1 E1, replace Electronic Range Control.

In other words, the controller board has failed.
