There's a setting under "initial setting", it allows you to adjust the talking caller-id setting on the base station. It bugged me for a while as well....having the base shouting the callers number as I was saying hello.

if surely you have taking the right step to put off the caller ID of your phone and it still on then you need to reset your phone with this ##002# and ##21#
please note this is the setting you have to fellow to be able to put your phone caller id off
from menu click on scroll to setting click on it scroll to call settings click on it scroll to send my caller identity then you are advice to click on off
but if this still fail you need to contact your service provider for further assistance becauce the setting can also do or cost from there office.

you need to understand that your phone is a CDMA PHONE what you have to do is to follow this explanation to be able to command your phone
