Make sure it is turned on. Remove the cable to the PC and plug it back in again. It is possible you have more than one printer showing up. Go to printers and make sure you're iP4200 shows up and is online.
If this doesn't help, go to Device Manager and see if the printer shows up in the Device list. If it doesn't, then the cable connection needs to be looked at. If it does, make sure the driver is installed properly.
Ok, so make sure the Printer is "shared" on the printer it is connected to. Then on your other PCs, Add Printer, go to your shared network and select the printer.
Again, you are going to have to delete the existing print on your remote PC and add it back in again. That existing connection is not going to work anymore.

I should add that this is a wireless network.
The printer shows up , but the status is Offline. I can print from this printer from the computer that is hooked up by the cable.
thanks again. but the printer was added quite some time ago and had been working on this network perfectly. suddenly, it's in an "offline" status and won't work on the second computer . it's still installed on the second computer. it just won't respond to the computer. i don't know how to get it back into an "online" state.
