I lost all my music on my itouch and am trying to restore it to the original settings. When I go thru the restore process I get an error saying it can't be restored. Anyone know why? Is there a workaround?
Got to device settings and restore option you need to choose this may help you to get rid of the issue alternatively you can get the support from tech support (877) 330-0887
Update firmware defaults your ipod/touch to sync-mode. Double check the sync settings "Devices" => your_ipod => "Summary" => "Options" => [_]"Manually manage music and videos"
Will not bring your music files back, but it's a start.

I plugged my iTouch in with the USB cord and after trying to update my iPod as recommended by iTunes, a popup said that the update could not be completed because of an unknown error. It then said that there was an unknown problem with my iPod and restoration was needed. I have tried restoring it 5-6 times, each time resulting in and unknown error.
I plugged my iTouch in with the USB cord and after trying to update my iPod
as recommended by iTunes, I did that, then it asked if I wanted to buy the new 2.0 software, so purchased it and did the download until a pop-up said that the update could not be
completed because of an unknown error. It then said that there was an
unknown problem with my iPod and restoration was needed. I have tried
restoring it 10 -20 times, each time resulting in an error code - sometimes the same, sometimes different. My itouch is not usable in this state. The circuit city guy says its a glitch with the software, but I cant even restore back to an old version.
all i did was go to ziphone and start something up and then plugged my itouch into the computer and WaLa there was nothing on my touch everything was gone and tried restoring but error 2005 came up and my i touch seems to never be able to work again.
My itouch will not start up i get the little apple symbol but i cant get to the slide to open main menu screen. Is there a way to restore an itouch without itunes recognizing it? Help PLEASE!!!!!!
same here, same error message (2005)black screen, or just apple on screen.
I plugged in my iPod Touch (iTouch) and was told that there was a newer version. I clicked update and have been unable to update. In fact, I can no longer use it as this process has put my iTouch into recovery mode. I have gotten several errors over and over. Error 13, 14 & 1604.
I turn on the itouch and see a usb cable with an arrow pointing the itunes logo. I can turn it off with the reset, but when I turn it on, the same thing appears. Tried to connect with itunes but it says cannot connect because itouch is password protected. I cannot enter any password because i can only see the screen I mentioned. Help!
