Sharp R402JK-T sparking on starting

Unplug the unit and do not plug it back, I can almost picture someone doing this, watching the sparks and smoke and oh the lights dim--Be smart here===either replace it out of hand or take to a repair shop to see if worth fixing or not and do not attempt to turn it on again.

MICROWAVE OVEN MODEL R-1405 THE INDICATOR NUMBERS ON FRONT PANEL DO NOT WORK WHAT DO I NEED TO FIX PROBLEM?

A faily common problem. You need a new display panel to fix that. The display panel comes separate from the control board.

Model R-1405, the carosel stopped turning. that's it. I can manually turn the carosel and I do hear the gears and motor manually turning.

It may be the turntable motor or a bad connection on the control board, especially at the connector, or a bad turntable motor relay.

We have the actual service manual for this model and have uploaded it to our site here to help you.

If your controller needs repair, we do that for $39.95 in most cases. Details are here.

You can buy the motor and other parts at Encompass here or call them toll-free at 866-779-5835.

Sharp R-1490 microwave 2000

the fuse to the magnetron may be blown or the mag it's self is gone. if the door switch was bad the unit wouldn't rotate the carousel. if it is the fuse (check with a multi-meter and check continuity across both side of the fuse, acheap one will do) if it is good, time to replace the micro, as they are cheap and repair would cost more than to replace. hope this helps.

(If you have a different model, please reply back with that)

The best place to order Sharp parts is Tritronics. You can also call them at 866-779-5835.

At our Web site, we have a video available showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

Then you can see the parts and how they interact.

Microwave ovens

The cover is probably the magenetron. That is where the microwaves come from. If the bread was moist, it might have left condensate in the unit which is causing the sparking. Unplug the unit, leave the door open over night. If you can remove that cover, do so. Be sure to carefully replace it before using the unit. Never turn on a microwave with nothing in it.
