I was just finished succesfully printing mailing labels on my old 760 and
noticed that all of the lights suddenly began blinking. The manual says that
this indicates that there is "an internal error" and that it needs service.
Short of looking for a new printer, is there anything I can try to rectify this
problem? I've tried the usual routine of shutting down the computer,
re-starting, etc. but pressing the ON/OFF button doesn't respond. Any
suggestions?
Bill
I have exactle the same problem. Help please
All 4 lights are flashing, when I press the on/off switch to turn it off, nothing happens. I bought the printer in December 2000. The only way to turn the lights off is to pull the plug or turn rthe power off.I have tried turning the printer off and then turning it back on some time later but as soon as the power comes on the lights flash againAll 4 lights are flashing, when I press the on/off switch to turn it off, nothing happens. I found this procedure to work for the Epson Stylus 760 printer. The error is indicated by all four lights on the printer flashing and appears to be caused by the internal counters of the machine being exceeded. Even if you press the power switch on the printer, the lights continue to flash, and the printer does not turn off!
1)Turn off your printer, ensuring that the print head is at its home location and locked in place as normal. 2)Remove the four screws securing the top cover two at the rear and two at the front under the lift up cover and lift the cover off. 3)Remove both ink cartridges. 4)When you restore power to the printer at the wall socket or by reinserting the cable, if the lights come back on straight away, the printer’s power switch was ‘on’ - switch it off and return to step 1. 5)Hold down the paper-feed button and the button with the ink-drops next to it, and then turn on the printer, still holding the buttons down. 6)When the paper-out LED flashes, release the buttons. 7)Press and hold the Cleaning button, until several lights flash - this will take a few seconds (i.e. then release the button). 8)The printer will now attempt to reset, including resetting the EEPROM memory and running a short (about 10 seconds) cleaning cycle. 9)Insert the cartridges as normal and replace the cover.
5)Hold down the paper-feed button and the button with the ink-drops next to it, and then turn on the printer, still holding the buttons down.

Epson printer blinking different lights. The different lights blinking has different meaning and solutions. When the Epson printer red light blinking that means ink cartridge of your printer is out of ink. And when your printer green light blinking that means paper gets jammed inside the printer.
You can fix the Epson printer lights blinking error using following steps:
·Fix the paper jammed ·Check empty or damaged ink cartridge ·Clean the dirty print head or replace missing or failed print head
Probably the waste ink tank is full.Try this: Pressing and holding LOAD/EJECT and CLEANING buttons, press POWER
button and hold it until You will see blinking INK OUT and PAPER OUT
leds. Release all buttons. In 2-3 seconds time press and hold CLEANING button, until all leds will blink.
Go into the printer driver and select print a test page, does it print out? If so then try printing from your label software, it should work, if not then it is your software that is at fault. If the test page does not print out then check all the settings in the print driver, so they are the same as the physical label. If non of this helps then go to www.lancerlabels.co.uk and do a live chat to Michael.
Clean the white areas on the tray with a light solvent cleaner like windolene/windex liquid. Also try giving the tray a helping hand as it is started to be fed into the printer
Probably needs a good cleaning - with a vaccuum and some compressed air.
Dot matrix (impact) printers usually have a couple of optical sensors - disks with holes in them - to let the printer know where the head is, how fast it's moving, if it jams, etc.
If there is too much dust, dirt, or bits of paper interfering with the beam of light passing through the rotating disks, most printers will stop and indicate some sort of error, rather than force the motor - which may damage the plastic teeth on the gears.
Do print head cleaning. Contorl panel>right click on c66 and go to printing preferences>maintenance tab>print head cleaning>do it 3 times and then try to print
Either you have ran out of an ink, because some epsons wont run until you replace cartridge, you have a document pending a print, or you need to disconnect printer, uninstall drivers from Add/emove programmes.
Re-install driver then re connect printer when prompted
