Replaced engine w one from pic n pull got it back together and it is stuck in park as if a theft system will not let it move i have disconnected the cable to transmission and the shifter will not move out of park and the starter is getting no power

You could try resetting the computer. The car maybe in lockout mode. Try turning your car over….leave the ignition on. Wait exactly 10 min. Then try turning over again….again leave the key on. Wait exactly 10 min and do it a third time….this time the car should start…maybe run a lil rough while it relearns the processes of your vehicle again. It is important to wait the exact 10 min each time. You will probably need a battery charger or a set of jumper cables because if your car goes low during this process it will not work. You soldered what 3 pins? If you are trying to bypass something, you are trying to fool two computers and it can't be done.

When you disconnect the battery, you have to reprogram the alarm and anti theft immobilizer.

My Toyota 91 cranks but won't start changed alternator battery good

hi,

check ign fuse in engine compartment, if blown take the distributor cap off and cut the wire that runs to that capacitor( small silver cylinder}, tape the wires off and put it back together replace fuse and see if it starts.

My Escalade had a dead battery, which was replaced 2 months ago. Got it jumped and it said stability system disabled and reduced engine power. Check engine light is also on.

fully charge battery and figure out why went dead -have code read ---check brake fluid level ,abs fuses and sensors- wires /connections

Ford Galaxy 2011 gear stick stuck in park won't move

Lots of modern vehicles fitted with auto transmission have a safety lock preventing the gear lever being moved unless the ignition is on and the brake pedal applied.

This probably applies to your car and if the system is faulty it will leave the gear lever stuck. Usually it is possible to hear the lock release.

If the transmission end selector lever is accessible, disconnecting the cable or rod from the lever and moving it by hand will provide a clue whether the problem is inside the box or the cable or gear lever.

Do i need to have my 2004 dodge intrepid anti theft code reset through a dealership if the heads and head gaskets were replaced? the entire top of the engine ws taken apart adn put abcl together.

i would disconnect the battery. removing both the positive and negative battery terminals. with both ends disconnected, hold the two terminals together for about 10 seconds. this will proform a hard reset on most chrysler vehicles. also, if this doesnt work, try turning the key to the on position, and then proforming the hard reset procedure.

You might have two problems. 1. The GM Passlock module might have a broken wire or be malfunctioning. 2. The neutral safety switch in the shifter might be stuck or bad. They putting the key in the ignition, foot on the brake, move the shifter through all the gears and then back into park, try ti start. If notm the problem might be in the Passlock system. Try using another key if you have one.
