Oven elements do not heat?

I started to preheat the oven using bake. The breaker for the oven tripped, so I reset the breaker. Now the oven elements don't heat? The display still works and so do the top burners. Any ideas what may be my problem?

The oven bake element has burnt out and needs replacing. Shut the power off to the range. Remove the element mounting screws located inside the oven above or below each end of the element. Carefully slide the element out, disconnect electrical wiring. Install new element.

Why will my broiler work but my bake will not?

Good Afternoon Friend,

I understand that the broil element is heating in your Frigidaire oven, but the bottom bake element will not heat. I suggest resetting your appliance, by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your home's circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. When you restore power you will need to set the clock. Preheat your oven using the bake option. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your oven status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

Preheat takes too long

does the oven bake properly when it does reach temps?
if this is a newer oven, with a hidden bake element, they do take longer to preheat so may not have any problems, just give it about 15 minutes to preheat.
if it is older and doesnt bake right, then you may have a bad bake element.
the unit will heat but wont bake right.
unplug the oven and take the bake element to your local parts house, they can check it and sell you a new one if needed.

Circuitry may have gotten tripped during clean cycle. Oven will open and electronics work but neither element will heat.

baked control module for heating elements. if you have a volt meter, check for power when oven on, if no juice its the control element, if you do get juice then its the elements

Kenmore oven lower element sporadically heating.

When the food you're baking is done on top but not on the bottom--or when baking just takes far too long to finish--the bake element may be burned out.

You may get fooled into thinking it's working, because the oven is hot inside. But many electric ovens use the broil element, too, during the preheat and bake cycles. So the food may be getting heated only by the broil element, which causes poor baking results.

If the bake element is burned out, replacing it should solve the problem. Otherwise, you need to further troubleshoot the oven's electrical system to locate the defective wire or component.

Bottom oven of dacor double oven

I found the lower circuit breaker had been tripped. That didn't fix the problem but upon further inspection whoever had worked on the unit years ago had dropped a screwdriver that had lodged between the oven wall and the rear casing and shorted out the lower heating element. I removed the screwdriver and oven works fine now. I don't think that will solve the cmmclow problem but maybee the curcuit breaker is tripped.
