My t3 PDA expension slot has broken. The flap has disappeared, and SD and MM cards can be pushed in, only with difficulty. They are not recognised. The PDA elelctrically "killed" one SD card, and I installed the downloaded fix for this. I know how to dismantle the PDA, and have done that. I can't see how to get into the card slot without cutting out the front face. Is there any hope for repairing the card slot? The PDA works well without the facilities offered by having the expansion card.

Check the width of the slot for the SD card. Most digital cameras use the standard SD card and the width of the SD card is 24 mm. The mini SD card is 20 mm wide
There are usually 2 places that an sd-card can be inserted in a digital camera - Inside near the battery under the door, or a separate flap on the bottom of the camera labeled SD.
If there isn't a slot specifically for an SD-card on the bottom of your camera, open the battery door.
Try and locate a very thin rectangular ****. Once you have found the slot, take your sd card and push it inside the slot until you hear a click, that means it's securely in place.
Your slot in the iPAQ is a SD slot, not a SDHC slot - therefore it will not read the card. Your PC card is probably a dual reader. The SD cards look the same but are different. Have a read of this...

In my opinion it is definitely a hardware problem. If you have the same problem with two or more SD cards it must be hardware. Please contact Service partner in your country and ask them how they can help you.

Before you can say that there is some common problem it will be interesting to know if your PDA has the same problem with different SD cards (different producer). As far as I know it can happened that PDA has problem with some cheap SD cards that you can buy at every supermarket. If there is possibility to check it with different cards it will be very useful.
If this issue occur with different card in this case it is possible that there is some hardware defect and you should contact a Service Partner! Please check this!
