My Sony BD bluetooth remote for PS3 stopped working. I have changed the batteries and still nothing happens. I tried registering the remote again but nothing happened? Is there anything else i can do?

Instructions for sony bd remote control
You can also plug in your Keyboard/mouse (any usb type keyboard and/or mouse will work with a PlayStation 3). That will allow you to navigate the PS3 XMB Menu, as follows:
1) Prepare the BD Controller.
2) Go to: (Settings) > (Accessory Settings)...
3) Select [Register BD Remote Control].
4) Follow the on-screen instructions to register the BD remote control.
When the registration, or pairing, is complete, your system will assign a controller number to the remote.

Hints
  • You can register only one BD remote control at a time. If you register another BD remote control, you will overwrite information on the currently registered device.
  • After you reach the maximum of seven active wireless controllers, you cannot register or use a BD remote control.
  • Registering the BD remote control with another PS3 system will clear the device registration from the first PS3 system.
  • For details on the BD remote control, refer to the instructions supplied with the remote.

I have a BD remote but do not have the actual PS3 controller. How do I pair the BD remote without having a PS3 controller?
Unfortunately you can't, you at least need a controller to get to the option in your setting to register a bluetooth device.

BD/Playstation remote will not work.
I had the same problem.  
1) Go to Accessory Settings\Manage Bluetooth Devices
-it will tell you that your BD device is not registered-press enter to register. The screen will say scanning.
2) Go back to Accessory Settings\Register BD Device and press "Enter & Start" at the same time.

I hope this helps. It worked for me.

Play station 3 dvd remote pairing instructions.
OK I FIGURED IT OUT!!! First turn off the system(ps3) make sure that you take the batteries out of the remote. Then when you turn it back on go straight to system setting, setting accessories, setting blue tooth device. AND THEN IT WILL TELL YOU TO HOLD DOWN THE START AND ENTER BUTTON DOWN!. Don't forget to put the batteries back into the remote. It took like 3 seconds.

Bluetooth sony remote
you need to go into he settings menu and select the accesory menu. and then register the device. once you've selected the bluetooth controller option.it will tell you to hold down the start button and the enter button on the remote controller at the same time till the screen changes.
