I have a 7 year old Frigidaire front load washer (GLTF1240AS0) which I
heard a few popping sounds from recently and now the drum won't
move/spin. Trying to go through the diagnostics I found taped to the
inside it looks like the problem was the speed control unit. I took it
out and noticed burn marks on the plastic and chips on the board (solder
on caps/resistors.)
My question is should I replace the board
($200 CAD) or is it some other problem likely to just burn it out again?
Is there a way to determine what caused the board to become fried?
Thank
you.
No they just ware out and burn out
Testimonial: "Thank you. Sounds like if I replace it it's likely to work again for a while at least. Thanks."
Sounds like a common problem, the exact same thing (burn marks) happened to my board! I replaced it but now my washer will only agitate, never spin... i wonder if something else is broken too?
