Cant download msn messenger... ive tried using msn installer and it says it cant do it and that i should try customer support, i used to have the most recent msn messenger but didnt have the net for a couple of months... im connected now but no msn messenger? can you help?

if you have the webcam center opened along with with msn then it wont work on either one of them.
you can try these steps tp check if it works for you or not.

1)look for the web cam center system tray icon and right click on it if its there and select exit

and as u said u cant see you self in web cam console --- in webcam console you can only see your self under the doodling tab and only of your webcam is working at that i.e

either you have the webcam center opened or any other messenger or software which turns on your cam then only ull be able to view your cam in webcam console alongside.

What error message are you getting that is not letting you DL MSN Messenger? Try this link below! It should work. Under Windows Live Messenger , right click on download, and open in a new window, and proceed with the install steps....

It's not a driver problem based on the fact it works with other applications. Since it won't work with Messenger my strong suspicion is that's your culprit (Messenger)....even though it worked before.

Uninstall and try it again. When you uninstall make sure you delete any folders found in "Widows Explorer" that are under program files (not in Windows itself....or at least not at this point). Make sure you are using the latest version by the way since you are going to install it again anyway.

As to why it did not work you might want to check the Microsoft knowledge base...(there can be some sort of a conflict particularly if you updated software, downloaded patches, installed a new application, whatever).

If this doesn't work...run your antivirus and Spybot search and destroy on the entire drive. If you are not running an antivirus AVAST or AVG are both excellent (and free as is Spybot.)
