I have a Dell A920 printer that will is connected

First connect your printer to computer with usb cable. then download driver from below link. Click here Click on above link download driver for your os and install then restart printer and computer then you can use it. Let me know if you need further assistance. Thanks for using FixYa.

First run Delete Print Jobs to remove any stuck print jobs in the queue.

Disconnect the printer.

Download and run the patch(printer cleanup utility) until it prompts you to restart your computer.

Restart your computer. Make sure the printer is removed. Manual Printer Driver Removal

Download and install the Vista 32-bit drivers for Windows 7 32-bit or the Vista 64-bit drivers for Windows 7 64-bit. Install the Vista drivers in the Vista Compatibility mode You'll get a message, the printer is not connected. Connect the printer at this time(powered on)

Clean the Ink Cartridge Nozzles

• 1 Load printer paper into your Dell A920 Printer.
• 2 Open the Dell Printer Solution Center on the computer. Click "Start," located in the bottom left corner of your computer. Select "Programs" from the menu displayed. Click "Dell printers." Click "Dell AIO Printer A920" and then click "Dell Printer Solution Center" to open the Dell Printer Solution Center.
• 3 Click on the "Maintenance" tab and select the option that says, "Clean to fix horizontal streaks."
• 4 Click "Print." This will print a nozzle print page, which forces ink through all of the nozzles to clean and unclog them.
• 5 Print a regular document again to see if the print quality has improved. Repeat the cycle up to two more times to improve printing quality.

u need to uninstall the drivers for the printer on ur vista computer,.. go to the following link and download latest vista drivers..
it will work..

from here download the driver and install ..then connect the USBcable ..

I will assume you have the Printer connected directly to a PC via the USB printer cable on our network.

a. Start - Run - Control - Ok
b. Open 'Printers and Faxes"
c. Open "Dell A920"
d. Print "Test Page" to assure the printer is working and connected.
e. With the "Dell A920" properties open - find the tab for Sharing.
f. Now select Share the Printer and name it.

At each Workstation you will need do steps a-b, and add the printer. Select browse network when adding the printer and find the Workstation with the shared printer.

If your Firewall on each Workstation is blocking "Print and File Share" you will need to change the settings to allow this procedure through.

For a Dell A920 (Personal All-in-One), pls download OS appropriate driver(s) from here. Pls select Vista, thereafter, install.
