My Uniden 2080-2 rings once at differnet time intervals (no set pattern) from every 10 minutes to once every several hours with no incomming call. I can even go a whole day or night without it ringing. It is just one phantom ring every once in a while. I do not have any of those extra caller ID or voice mail type services. I cannot find a solution in the manual. Is there a way I can make it stop?
Thank you!
Erick
I have the same problem as eaho's, only with a Panasonic DECT 6 KX-TGA101S. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks:

These DECT 6.0 phones work on 1.9 Ghz frequency and should not have any interference other than from another DECT 6.0 phone that can be within 150 ft of your phone. That means that somebody, a neighbor that has a DECT 6.0 phone close by is causing this problem. It also means that they are also getting these phantom phone rings. The best solution? Go to a 5.8 Ghz phone and your problem should go away.
Our DECT 6.0 phone rings once exactly every 15 minutes and there are no other cordless mobiles within 150 metres of us. We are on a campus. Certainly no phone is being used exactly every 15 minutes. We had the same issue at the same interval over a year ago in a different building with a different phone and resolved it by using a different type of cordless phone. Our phone system is spread across a few campuses and uses extension numbers.
Ok. We found the solution at work. We had to change a setting on the extension on our Phone Switch, Avaya G3R. We unchecked the Test selection on the phone extension and the phantom phone rings went away. If you don't have a local phone switch then you need to call your local provider, most likely AT
