How to replace heating elemant on Zanussi DE6850 Dishwasher
Hi,
My dishwasher will only do a full cycle on the ronse hold. All other cycles do not progress as there is no hot water. Is it easy to replace the heating element and if so how?
I have exactly the same problem - on all other cycles there is no water then the drying light starts flashing along with the program lightI have exactly the same problem - on all other cycles there is no water then the drying light starts flashing along with the program light

Hi,
I followed some of the good instructions already on Fixya. I had checked the heater and it was o.k. I then took the front door of the washer apart to get at the control box. Sure enough, I also had the common design fault. One leg of the rely had scorch marks and was now disconnected from the circuit board. I will solder tonight and test. I include a photo of the burned board. TNoel P
Make sure you unplug before you start. I had the same problem with a DE6850. The heater was ok. Metered at 25.ohms. Apparently, the relay on the control board mounted in the front door behind the switches is a common fault. Remove the screws around the top part of the door and you will be able to get at the control module. Resolder the connection. Zanussi reliability has been lost. Noel P
most probably the pcb unit...had a few of these changed pcb and cured fault,
not a job for a novice to be honest, think the parts is about £70-80 from memory..

I have the same problem if you take off the tray below the front door and set a small blow heater in there it will dry the out the anti flood switch. It usally takes about 25 mins for the machine to start working again.
