My LG Shine Flip phone turns on but all it shows is the LG symbol on the main screen, and it says Downloading... on the outside screen. Every once in awhile it turns on fully and the 2580 keys do not work, along with the top right Contacts button. Any advice??

can you be more specific sir? is your mobile phone flip type or slide type?

if yes then problem would be your flex wire, it would be needing a replacement

the flip and slide phones have these kind of issues. the strip that connects the screen to the circuit board is either fully or partially broken. check it by some repairman and if it is slightly broken, maybe he will repair it to less cost.
the breakage also depends upon the rough usage of slide/flip function of mobile.

pull the battery from it for a little while , if that don't do it its probably a display chip inside and it can't be replaced , they have been having problems with the screens on these phones , does the phone still work for recieving and sending calls? its not likely but not impossible the screen went

open messasge-click options-extract data-highlight the address

Could you try and download limewire (google it) or something

find what song you'd like to use as your ringtone, and then transfer it to your phone using the cable that came with your LG?

On my phone it can only store so much and then it needs to use a minidisk.

Another way is to go on the internet using your phone and download songs...maybe there's some free ones that are available.

If you want to put music files from your laptop onto your LG Shine, you can either use a LG USB cable or a Micro SD Card.The Micro SD card will probably need an additional adapter to have it big enough for your Laptop or PC slot. Once the music files are on the Micro SD card, insert the card into your LG Shine and go to My Stuff". Then, select "Audio and ringtones" and select the file on your memory card. Press the "Options" button and select the copy function and paste it into your phone.
