Replace the O ring. Cut the clear one out with a razor blade and buy a standard black 3/4" O ring from Lowes or Home Depot.

The steam comes out of the water reservoir cap instead of the steam Jet Nozzle.

I can only guess since I have never worked on one of these units, but I think you lost a gasket on the cap. Pressure must build in the reservoir before being forced out the nozzle.

My Euro-Pro leaks steam at the filler cap. It is tightened down but still leaks. Have replaced the rubber ring in the cap but still leaks dangerous pressure steam.

take cap off remove gasket get clr calcium lime rust cleaner put cap in cup of clr give it 4 or 5 min remove rinse replace gasket, empty tank fill with distilled water not tap water no from now on use distilled water only.

Steam buggy water reservoir cap has apparently been cross threaded, and cannot be removed by twisting or other "encouragement." If I cut it off, where can I get a replacement? Can the machine be used as...

You need to completely annihilate the plastic cap by cutting it off and destroying the remaining plastic to expose the stainless steel insert/plug. You can use either a pipe wrench or 11mm wrench to turn the insert counter-clockwise to unscrew. You will need to use some force to get the plug out since it's basically glued shut by lime deposits in your tap water.

Do not move the slotted cap or else this will need to be adjusted so that all your water doesn't squirt out before turning to steam.

Next time only use distilled water. Store with the cap off. Grease the inner and outer threads after every use and wipe it off completely before use so it doesn't mix with the steam and turn to vapor.

Hello, no this is not normal. You just need a new O-ring. This is about a 1 dollar fix. The original O ring is clear rubber but a 3/4" standard O ring will work just fine. You can get these at Lowes or Home Depot.
