When I was installing Windows xp on my compaq c700 laptop,The Laptop was suddenly shutdown and I when start it again it doesnot start and it is also not taking the charging.. plz help me

Was the computer connected to the Internet with a LAN cable when you installed Windows 7. During the Windows 7 installation Windows will automatically find and download the drivers. The HP/Compaq WEB site may have a WEBcam driver for your model laptop. If all else fails then try installing Windows 7 again and make sure the laptop is connected to the Internet before you start the installation.
You need to download the drivers from the Compaq/HP WEB support/download page. Make sure you select your model laptop and the XP Windows version of the drivers you require and install them. Use this link to download the drivers http://h18000.www1.hp.com/cpq-country/cpq_support.html
Try connecting the headphone properly. Check if its properly inserted. Go for windows update............... and then check if the problem is gone. If all the above doesnot works I think there is a connection between the metals inside your headphone portal, ans as soon as you insert the jack it gets connected and you can hear sounds from both the sources. There are several versions of the Presario C700. Pls try here and select one appropriate ti what you have. Thereafter, clicking on the exact model number would open a new page with drivers for several Operating System, pls select Windows XP. If there are no specific drivers, download and install the HP Software Update.
