I've had this mp3 since January and it's now March. It's never given me problems before, until yesterday. I turned it on and my music sounded like it was underwater. I've restored it, updated the firmware, put new batteries in it and even got new headphones and tried other people's but it STILL sounds the like it's underwater and at times it doesn't even play at all. Does anybody know what's wrong?

Your flywheel may be damaged. The starter drive engages the flywheel to spin the engine. A bad ring gear or cracked flywheel will make noises you described and is ******* starters. Rebuilt starters are not always good.
It's a CCD problem which SONY could fix for free till January 31st (in
Europe), don't know about the America, but you should contact SONY and
ask do they still offer a free imager replacement for this camera as
they did all the time as they came factory faulty.
RCA once had them, but no longer carries them. You would actually have more problems than you would imagine with Win 98 and mp3 players anyways - no music services will accept Windows 98 anymore. The Windows Media Player 10 software that you would need to transfer songs is not compatible. It would have been rough anyway.
Either the DB is corrupt of the license on the songs expired - make sure the music service is completely up to date. If it is, then go to RCA's website and get the latest firmware update.
