I have a Pentax *ist DL2 camera, which I bought second hand on ebay, but from a very lovely, recommended seller, so he wasn't having me on. But recently, every button I press seems to set the shutter off...

Take off the lens and fire off a few shots. Does the mirror flip up? Or is it permanently up? Does the shutter open? Can you see through the lens? This "lovely, recommended seller" may have unloaded his problems on you.

Hi there.
Sadly, point-and-shoot cameras are not designed to be disassembled and then reassembled easily. Therefore your best option is to take it to a store that specializes in camera repair.

Internal dust speck on Canon A720is in same upper right corner

If dust is in the camera, it must be opened. I suggest not doing this yourself. Lookup a Canon dealer in your region and ask for support.

Dust in my Kodak m863 lcd screen

Hold the camera upside down and gently blow off any grit and lose dust particles. Next lightly wipe the lens with a few drops of lens cleaning fluid, place the fluid on the lens cleaning paper, not directly onto the lens and then wipe the lens.

Dirt speck

It is probably a speck of dust on the sensor. Get a blower from any camera shop, remove the lens, lock up the mirror (mirror lock up in camera menu) and give the sensor a good blow ( without touching it) while holding the camera front down so that any specks of dust fall away from the sensor. Sometimes specks can stick (pollen for example) in which case you could try a disposable swab and cleaning solution, although if unsure most camera shops provide the service pretty cheap - the sensor would be a lot more expensive to replace if you mess it up.

Lens issue with my Casio EX-Z50

I don't believe a "lens error" can be fixed at home. That is something that is going to have to be sent in. Sometimes if repairing the camera costs more than what it's worth Casio will offer you a trade up to a different model. Call the repairs dept and ask them about that program. Their number is 800-706-2534 and keep choosing option 1.

Black spot on picture

My Nikon was having the same problem with the stationary black spot. I used a can of Dust Off ( the original compressed gas duster). I just removed the lens and held the camera upside down (lens facing the floor) and blew my compressed air inside and my black spot disappeared. Just a thought you might like to know !! Good luck.
