This going to be a 3 part solution. You can find all the materials you need a a Boat Supply Store or online. For the first step you will need all purpose filler such as FORMULA 27 ALL PURPOSE FILLER. It comes with hardener, Make sure the area you are working in is well ventilated. Follow the directions and fill inn your hole making sure to not allow it to stick out. Next you will need a Fiberglass repair kit. A kit is the best way to go since it will include everything you need. Again, good ventilation and follow the mixing instructions. You will need sandpaper, medium, fine and super fine (600 grit). If you build iu up to much you can and will need to sand it down. It will not be perfect but you can feather it into the existing area around the hole. Once this cures (hardens) you will be ready to go. The last step is cosmetic, gel coat, this is the shiny surface with the color in it. This step is up to you. It is not needed and can be difficult to match the color.
Good Luck

How can above ground pool be repaired

It sounds like the hole is relatively small. You can make a patch using a piece of sheet metal or a piece of flat aluminum which you can purchase at Lowes or Home Depot in the hardware dept. Use sheet metal if the metal surround is metal. Use aluminum if the surround is aluminum. You can tell which is which by taking a magnet and touching the metal. If the magnet sticks, it's metal not aluminum. Cut the patch using sheet metal shears to a size that is 4 inches by four inches larger than the hole. Then you'll have two inches on each side of the hole. You are going to need to put the patch on the inside of the metal, between the liner and the metal surround. This so the hole edges won't tear the liner. When you cut the patch, round off the edges so there are no sharp edges. Take duct tape and cover the edges of the patch. Place 1/2 the width of the duct tape and apply it to one side of the patch and fold the other half over to the other side. You can cut a round patch, but a square or rectangle patch will be easier. Just cut the corners round. Purchase a small tube of silicone sealant ( when you but the patch material) and apply a bead around the patch edges and in the middle. Then affix the patch over the hole. Wipe off any sealant that ozzed through the patch so it doesn't bond to the liner.

Brother Intellifax. When I make copies and send faxes there is a 2 inch black line on the side of the paper, but not when i receive faxes. Do I need a new drum? They run approximately 189.00 so any help...

It is NOT the drum. It is your document scanner. 2 inches wide is big so most likely it is not the typical scrap of paper or whiteout that gets stuck to the scanner glass. Lift up the ops panel where the documents are fed in to be copied. Look for a strip of glass that runs from one side to the other. Make sure there is nothing on the glass. At 2 inched wide it is more likely that you have some of the LED's that light up going bad. Under the glass is a row of LED's that light up to scan the document. If a block of these are not lighting up then this then causes the black band to show up. If this is the case then you will need to have the scanner repaired or buy a new machine which might be cheaper. No question tho, it is in the scanner as this is the only area that will cause clean incoming faxes but bad copies and outgoing faxes.
Good Luck and Thank You for using Fixya.

Bath tub installation

Okay lets start with the most obvious: Check all studs to ensure they are plumb. I am assuming all sheetrock and tile has been removed. if so measure the distances from the bottom plates on the end walls. it should be 60 inches in the clear. measure the height of the tub from the edge of the skirt that contact the floor to the top of the skirt then measure this distance off on the front and rear studs on both end walls and mark it off. Now measure to see that you still have 60 inches in the clear at both the front and rear locations. Now measure the tub as well to ensure it wasn't mis-manufactured. If all your measurements come in at 60 inches you should be able to bring the tub in and slide it in as it is when it is finished. If you find out that you have less than 60 inches in the clear for the tub you can use a drill and jigsaw to remove additional wood from the studs to get it to drop in. Once in you can fir the wall back out to the original dimension and sheetrock and tile. One thing you need to remember is that you may need to take wood out of bot ends to get the drain to rough in correctly.
I hope this helps you out and thanks for using Fix Ya.
