Black screen no image otherwise all works so cant take photos Fuji finepix F700

Install the software that came with your Fuji J100.

I found that alot of Fuji cameras have been recalled due to this issue. Although i did not find the S5000 series mentioned in this article, it may be included. I only used my camera 3 times and its been sitting for almost a year. Please read.

The symptoms are captured images that appear completely black, have a purplish cast or multi- colored distortions. These symptoms would be seen on the camera LCD monitor when the camera is in the shooting mode or during playback. A limited number of these models will have these problems. If your camera is beyond the standard one year, limited warranty period, you will receive a written estimate for any additional damages or malfunctions not listed in this Service Advisory.

when downloading the pictures,good?.
then lcdconnecties are broken.

You need ot send it back to the address in this articale and they will fix for free. It is the same problem with mine. You can also call and they will tell you this, Hope this helps you.

CCD failed, contact fuji, they got product recall for some camera models with faulty CCD.

This sounds like it might be a defective CCD imager. If so, Fuji should fix this for you for free. This is regardless of your camera's warranty status. Please check the following two links for more info:

A bit more explanation please Stevie Is the Screen really blank[black] or can you see shadow images. Or Is it White blank? And can you still take pictures even when the screen is in this state. Tell us more

Your camera is certainly giving the signs of a bad CCD but it's not on Fuji's list. But don't worry I had my 602Z fixed for free out of warranty and there's plenty of reports of other Fuji models not listed being repaired. Email Fuji and explain what your camera is doing and as long as you have the warrabty card and proof of purchase they should help you out. GOOD LUCK
