Here are some steps to tune a Teac LED/LCD digital TV without a remote:
Find the TV's on-screen menu buttons on the TV itself (often located on the side or bottom of the TV)
Use the arrow buttons to navigate to the channel setup or tuning menu
Select "Auto Tuning" or "Channel Scan" and follow the on-screen instructions to scan for available channels
If the TV has manual tuning option, select it and input the frequency, symbol rate, and other information for each channel you want to add manually.
Once the tuning process is complete, the TV should display all the available channels. If you are unable to access the menu without a remote, consider using a universal remote that is compatible with your TV or obtaining a replacement remote from the manufacturer.
Potentially so, however I would get the TV fully checked over by a professional if it has been subject to a surge. If a component further down the line caused the initial surge replacing the blown cap will only result in another bang as soon as you plug it in.
32BV500B Toshiba 32'Inch LCD TV, A couple of days ago i went to turn on my tv and the blue light on the bottom of the tv screen would not turn on i turned my tv of for a couple of hours and tried it again it is still the same but when i switch the main power switch on the back of my tv and press the on/off button it beeps please can anyone help me the tv isnt all that old pluss it was one of my family members who is no longer ere and it really means a lot to me so please can you tell me what the problem is i really dont want to loose this.
That is exactly what it is. Mine, as well, (1yr and 4mos old) went out. But my sound, eventually, went out as well. However, I was lucky and had the two year warranty and it was covered. Apparently this is an issue. The fella's that picked up the TV made the remark that "this is another one".
Uh Oh! blue screen of death. Your light engine
has warped a little from overheating and is distorting the picture.
My suggestion to you is to get on the phone with Sony and start
complaining, then keep complaining until they agree to pay for
it. Even if it is out of warranty.
You may have to get the problem diagnosed by a pro before they agree to pay for it though.
Hope ya fix it!
