First you have to ensure that the problem is not from the internet connection. Try using the PDA and the same wireless connection to open a different site which is different from the email provider. If the other site opens then you are sure that the problem is from either the phone or the email service provider. On the other hand if it does not open then this means that the recommended settings which are expected for the PDA to work with the wifi have not been properly set to give the PDA internet access. The device might be connected to the wifi but not connected to access the internet from the device. Try setting up the PDA and this time take care of the settings. Hope this solution has been helpful?
First of all, you should install the driver for your wlan-11b card to your PDA. (There should be a CD given with the wifi card, or you can download in online through the card's brand's website, ex. .cab file for a Spectec SDW821 Wi-Fi Card) At this step, you should be carefull with the version of windows mobile on your device and the driver's version for windows mobile. After that, you should plug your wifi card to your PDA's SD slot, and your PDA will recognize it. So you can go to your settings, and there you can search for a wireless network.
"hi have an archos 5, when trying to connect to wifi, keep getting "wifi error .(0)" or "wifi error .(21), i know i am in a wifi network area as my laptop and palm pda can connect ok, however the archos seems to keep scanning for networks until it eventually switches off, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated"
i have the same problem...PLEASE is there ANYONE who knows how to solve this issue.. my email is [email protected] i need desperate help..
no it cant. it's a PDA , it is not a phone. it can do wifi, if lucky most cant. wifi is an option sold new.... so can be missing. even with it most modern routers block it.
why not just buy and old smart phone. use that. avoid PDA like the plague.
Test the network capability - ping your card and also do an auto detect through home network set up. If it still doesnt feature, unplug, reboot phone and replug. shoul;d work!
First, restart your pda by using your stylus and pressing the pin-hole sized button on the back of the PDA.
There are sometimes a couple of different reasons why the pda wont recognize the network.
Main Reason: Make sure you are at the home screen...
Tap the wifi icon on the lower right corner of the pda. T
hen make sure that the WLAN power is turned ON.
Press the setting button.
If you see your network in the list, tap on it.
It should bring up a network configuration window.
Make sure it says it connect to "The Internet".
Then tap on the "Network Key" tab at the bottom of window.
If you have no security settings on your belkin router, make sure Authentication is set to Open and Data Encryption is set to "Disabled".
Then press "OK".
That should Be it!!!! Let me know if this way doesnt work, or if something doesnt make sence!
You are absolutely right. The “SD WIFI+256 MB” don’t work properly. Unfortunately there is no software that can re-establish your data again. You must be very carefully and always make data back up using SD card. This is the best and securest way to save all your data.
