After reset please select the Auto mode. After that click the snape. If you face same problem then the lens sensor is damaged & need to replacement. But make sure your use in auto mode when you click snape. If its come proper then the camera is fine & no need to worry about it. Thanks & waiting for your feedback.

Testimonial: "Thanks. I did the test as you described and it is clear that the sensor must be bad."

When i take pictures they show with a pink color? i reset the camera to factory settings but still same pink pics advise?

This FE-340 Olympus is a great camera. Lots of features and usually great results
  • Indoor pictures with flash set on auto WB (white balance) should not be a problem
  • Indoor pictures without flash requires setting the WB to match the light source in the room (incandescent, florescent etc) Outdoor pictures WB on auto generally not a problem

Outdoor pictures is not working..

I'm not familiar with the A430 specifically, but all digital cameras have exposure settings for the type of picture you're taking (outdoor scene, portrait, shadows, etc.). Since you can take good interior pictures, I think you're likely set on a "indoor" or "shadow" setting rather than "auto". Some of the icons are a little confusing but "auto" is the best setting for most situations. If the camera is set to auto already, then I would suspect that the light sensor is defective and contacting Canon Support is your best option.

Problem on outdoor daylight picture taking

hi

try the Exposure button [+/-] will generally be disabled in auto mode

try changing mode to 'P' (Program) mode and then change the exposure by pressing the +/- button and then you would generally see a scale on the LCD now press the left button to decrease the exposure

better more is to reset the camera to the default settings this would set the aperture, shutter, Exposure, LCD brightness and otehr settings to defaults and this would save from any unwanted changes than required

cheers
pls rate if it was any help

Washed out pictures

Set our exposure compensation to - 2 or more.

If you don't know how to do or set the above, then try the following:
If images are overexposed by one stop: set ASA/ISO to one number higher (if using100, set to 200).
By two stops (100 to 400)
By three stops (100 to 800)

You can still set camera in auto modes(P,A, S).
Just make sure to set back your ASA when shooting indoor.

Hope they are helpful.

Poor quality images outdoors

try setting your camera's auto balance into Automatic or Outdoor. So the camera could adjust the light or diable flash.

Outdoor pictures reveal white on LCD screen

The sensor for the auto-ISO may be working incorrectly. Try changing the ISO manually for different light modes. You can also try to change the white balance of the LCD. -Setting the white balance: 1. Set the camera to still image mode 2. Press the "Set" button 3. "White Balance" should be the current selection 4. Press the "Flower" button or "Flash" button to move through the available options for white balance 5. Press "Set" again when change appropriately - Setting the ISO: The higher the ISO value, the less light the camera needs to make an exposure, allowing the same exposure to be achieved with higher shutter speeds or smaller apertures. In a digital camera, higher ISO value allows higher shutter speed, at the expense of mottled or grain appearing in the final picture. 1. Set the camera to Still Image mode. 2. Press the "Set" button. 3. Press the "scn" or "timer" button to select ?ISO?. 4. Press the "Flower" or "Flash" button to select the desired setting. 5. Press the "set" button to select. 50/100/200 In the same lighting condition, the higher the ISO value is, the faster the shutter speed will be. I hope this helps.
