The driver of that device was corrupt. the driver of cd/dvd rom is built in operating system. your first step is to open device manage then right click my computer then click properties then click device manager tab then double click the cd/dvd rom drives then right click the dvd device and click update update driver software and follow screen instruction.

I read over the solution to the problem by deleting the lower keys in the registry,,restarted and it works fine again,,thank you.
The 1st time I tried it, there was now upper or lower keys because i had uninstalled the driver 1st.
