Actually, this is required by many users for this set.

I know the phone supports up to 6 lines, and I can assign for these 6 lines the speed dial, but I want to extend more speed dial and I want it to be in the screen as a touch botton, the same as these six lines.

it will be very nice if we have it on the screen

yes as you said there should like custom-featres in which you creat your own feature.

ok waiting for you, to see what will happen with you.

do you have an idea on how we can creat these applications.

Hi,

One-touch speed dial or redial is one feature of this Polycom VVX1500, and as far as I know you cannot create a list on the screen.

Yes, you can make the speed dial list.

To assign a speed dial key, press and hold an unassigned line key. Then enter the contact information and press the save soft key.

To add or edit a speed dial index number for a contact, update the contact's speed dial Index field in the Contact Directory.

Thus you can have speed dial facility and also you can add-edit the contacts.

Thanks
Jimmy

How do I set up my voice mail on my Polycom IP 330 Phone?

Voice mail is probably a feature provided by your service provider.
I have a PBX with several different viop phones configured.

The voice mail is stored on the PBX you just need to configure the message waiting light on the phone and possibly a speed button that automatically dials the voice mail code.

I assume that you don't have a PBX and an internet service provider / voice service provider has those features available for you. They should have the documentation you need to configure the phone. If they specifically support your model phone you are in luck. Otherwise you will have to adapt from their generic description.

I have noticed that some really cheap voice plans don't include voice mail.

Hope this helps.

Can not able to dial out any number from Polycom VSX 7000.

Check out the following things:-

1. When dialing a ISDN number, be sure that the call preference has not been set to IP H.323 on the home screen just below the dialing field.

2. Check with your service provider that outwards dialling have been enabled on the lines provided to you.

Polycom Soundpoint IP 501 - URL call is disabled

This in it's most basic description means that the phone is unable to register with the SIP server, most likely for lack of internet connectivity or a firewall blocking the packets.

If you've verified connectivity and opened the proper ports and the phone fails to initialize and still getting “URL Call Disabled” or all of the above parameters are correct, update the firmware for the router. This can usually be done within the router configuration. Then reboot in order, the cable modem or DSL, the router or switch, then the phone. This may solve the problem.

If still having the same issue, confirm in the router configuration for settings such as SIP proxy, gateway, or application layer or any configuration setting for SIP or VOIP. If any of these do exist, make sure they are turned off as these may only confuse or adversely affect many implementations.

For incoming calls, the caller cannot hear me for 2-10 seconds after I pick up

You've got an IP issue somewhere in your setup. It sounds like the call is being lost and then the phone is querying the DNS server to find out where it should be looking for the call. Do you have a VOIP server name or it's IP address in the setup? Are you using DHCP or manually assigning IP addresses? If the VOIP server is not on a static IP, I would fix that first. Post back here the answers and we can look at it further.
