How are you connecting the TV to the receiver? The receiver offers HDMI, component video and composite video outputs. The one you use will depend on what inputs are available on your TV. Whichever you choose, have the appropriate cables connected at both ends. Then make sure the proper source is selected on the TV and your camera output should be visible. The receiver manual is available for download at Yamaha's site if you need a copy for connection details.

Panasonic TV, TC-P50S2.Yamaha DVD Player DV-C6280.Yamaha Receiver HTR-5450.DVD audio working fine thru receiver. Not sure where to place white/yellow cords to get video feed.

Hello. Usually when you mention white and yellow, there should be a red also, the red and white are right and left audio and the yellow is the video. The audio should be connected to the receiver, and if the receiver has video inputs and outputs, that should be connected to the same receiver input as well, but if the receiver doesn't have video capability, the yellow should be connected to the TV video input. I hope that helps.

Having trouble connecting a ipod to the back of the reciever with rca cables. I plugged in to the V-AUX and also put the input to AUX on the reciever. still no sound

I think the V-AUX is a video input, not audio. Look for a red and a white RCA female input to connect the cable. Those represent the right and left, respectively, audio.

When I connect my Wii to my Yamaha HTR-6130 through the front V-Aux jacks, i hear sound but no image. It says " Listening to Dock" on the front display. Can you help?

On this receiver the tv must be connected to the Monitor RCA Composite (yellow) output in the rear when you use another Composite input. You can't connect the Wii with the Composite and expect to use the tv with the HDMI - this unit doesn't have an onboard converter.
Once you have connected it correctly just select as a source the front connectors.

I am hooking the system to a yamaha stereo receiver and i need to know what jacks to hook it to out or in 3 wire or just 2 because of no video just audio red white yellow the stereo reciever just has ...

Let me write some basic things about audio and video signals and cables. Stereo audio has two channels, left and right, usually red and white (or black) jacks. You plug in audio cables. Video signals in old receivers are marked in yellow. If your receiver does not have video (yellow) input, usually located above the two audio inputs, you will not be able to watch any video signal through the receiver. The receiver will only play the sound of dvd, since its left and right audio channels are properly connected. Just aux and phono inputs are not enough. Hope this may help.

Make sure you have the "audio input mode" on "Auto" it's a small button on the front of the Yamaha. Then go into the PS3's Audio setup and make sure it's set to Digital. Hope this helps

Not sure if this is your problem, or not, but the red and white wires are for audio. There is a separate yellow wire for composite video. Alternatively, you can use the red/green/blue (RGB) connector cable for component video.
