This phone came with two handsets, one main base and a second charging base. The main base failed to charge the handsets after 3 months so I began to use the second base to charge the handsets. It been now about 6 months since the phone was new and the second base no longer charges the handsets. Any ideas how to fix will be greatly appreciated.
Here are a couple things you can try.
Clean the charging contacts, this can be done two ways. The manufacture's recommend using a pencil eraser. I recomend using a q-tip and some rubbing alchol. Just rub the alchol soaked q-tip on all the metal contacts on the bases and the bottom of the handset.
Gooo luck.
Hope this helps
The problem may be in the faulty diode on the base circuit board. It is the only diode there and is marked by a diode sign. You can try to replace it on some similar, like 1N5819 Schottky Diode or any generic similar.
PyroPC Man is right! Thanks!

Tried that already.
I just checked the DC voltage in the main base and it reads ~9V, while the second base reads 12V. Go figure!. Neither one seems to be charging although the handsets recognize they have been put on the bases and the charging light comes on.
When the main unit failed to charge I had already tried cleaning the contacts without positive results.
After the suggestion by PyroPCMan I went back and cleaned them with a pencil eraser and after that I used a q-tip soaked in alcohol and now both units are charging! I am sure glad this worked.
Kudos to PyroPCMan.
i have tried to connect the handset or base with a cell phone and it is not working i cant get it to connect
When placed in Base unit fully charged batteries show as "Charging" and stay this way ??
