Do you mean you have to burn your song from your RCA mp3 player to a cd??? well, thats simple, try to plug your mp3 player to your PC then if you could open directly your mp3 player, you could copy the songs on it then transfer it on a folder. or if you need to use the mp3 player's software to communicate with the mp3 player, you try to look for the function extract/export or whatever function in your software to transfer your mp3 player songs to your pc.

well if your done, lets go to the second step.

you need to have a cd burner in your pc and the software to burn cd (like nero). if you got these things, well we are ready to burn.

1st, run the nero software. then look for the "make an audio cd", then the program will ask for the files (songs) that you will burn, thats the time you will place your transfered songs from your mp3 player. then just click next.. and it will start to burn then finishes... then there you go....

When I play a song on my mp3 player, the screen displays "unknown."

Mp3 players are programmed to read original & copied songs when you download music into your Mp3. if you copy an original CD (music) to your Mp3, the songs will be displayed along with all the infos of that song, i.e. artist, track #, year, etc. if you copy a CD which contains copied songs from other originals, it will display "UNKNOWN" because original CD's have their own trademarks that distinguishes them from copied CD's or any other CD for that matter...

How to use

hello, all you need to do is just to get the usb cord of your zen mp3 and connect it to your laptop/system that you have your choice songs installed on it.
If you have a particular CD that you want to install the songs on it on your zen mp3 player, all you need to do is just to insert the CD into your laptop/system,then you copy the songs from the CD to the laptop/monitor.
After you have done that, you then connect your zen mp3 to the laptop/monitor with your usb cord to simply copy the songs from the laptop/monitor that you already copy from the CD to into the zen mp3.
with the above instruction you can copy as many songs as you wish....
Thanks for using fixya,
Take care.

I can not get cd that I have in my computer to

You cannot copy a CD song to a MP3 player, it does not recognize the CD file format only MP3 file format.
You can convert your CDs into MP3 files can copy them to your MP3 player. There are freeware programs on the Internet that convert CD songs to MP3 format, the CD song is rip/converted to MP3 file.
Microsoft Media Player can also rip CD songs into MP3 files as well as playing MP3 files/songs.

Mp3 digital audio

Use Windows Media Player to view the files on the disc, and rip them onto your computer, so that you can transfer them to your RCA player.

The instructions in these pages, which are largely links, pertain to Windows Media Player 10 and 11 only.

Windows Media Player is made by Microsoft. The general help page for Windows Media Player is:

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/default.mspx

Through this link, you can enter a variety of search terms that will help you find what you are looking for (exs.: “add files to my mp3 player”; “delete files from my mp3 player,” etc.)

Important Vocabulary:

The code word for “mp3 player” in Windows Media Player is “DEVICE” or “portable device”

The code word for adding files is “SYNC,” “syncing,” or “synchronizing”

The code word for copying files from CD is “RIP,” or “ripping”

The code word for files stored on both My Computer and my Mp3 player (when it is connected to the computer) is “LIBRARY”

To add files (SYNC) to your mp3 player using Windows Media Player 10:

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/windowsmediaplayer/wmp10/harrison_wmp10.mspx

To add files (SYNC) to your mp3 player using Windows Media Player 11:

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/faq/sync.mspx

To delete files from your mp3 player using Windows Media Player 10:

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/knowledgecenter/mediaadvice/0085.mspx#EDF

To delete files from your mp3 player using Windows Media Player 11:

My Directions:

1. Connect your mp3 player to the computer

2. Open Windows Media Player

3. Click on the icon of your Mp3 player on the left-hand side of the Library

4. Click on the Songs, Tracks, or other Music Folder

5. Find a song or songs that you want to delete

6. Left-click the song once to highlight it

7. Press the “Delete” button on your computer’s keyboard

To copy (RIP) files from CD to Mp3 player using Windows Media Player 10:

Rca lyra won't read memory card

WMA files come in two formats DRM & non-DRM. Change your setting in Windows media player (Options - Copy Music) and re-rip the music CD. You can copy both versions but one will play but not the other.
