If your watch band have UV sensitive pigmentation in it, there is nothing you can do, but buy the new band. Find your nearest jeweller and ask to clean watch band in ultrasonic cleaner for 1 hour. If this kind of cleaning doesn't help, that means your watch band is UV sensitive and is and will be discolouring more and more by the time. Alternatively you can try to clean it with the lighter fluid (ZIPPO). Soak a soft cloth in to lighter fluid and clean the band. Start with a small area inside band to make sure the fluid is not reacting as dissolver, as some resins react quite vigorously and tend to transform into chewing gum sort of state. And again- if this cleaning doesn't help, the band is UV sensitive and discolouring is taking place. That discolouring is happening becouse some of the colour pigments used in resin manufacture are sensitive to ultraviolet light and when exposed to sunlight or daylight, they react in a chemical way, changing molecular structure, wich we see as the colour change.This process can not be reversed and this is why the band can not be cleaned. Do not forget to rate please.
there is a special tool but a small penknife can do the job look where the strap end meets the watch push the edge with your nail you will see the spring bar there press it in with the knife it should come out . be careful it dosent fly off and maind your eyes then put the bar in the new strap put 1 pin in the hole hold with thumb and index line it u and depress the spring and line up and release. hope this helps joe
The following proccedure mentioned can be implied for replacing only resin(plastic) strap.
If you have a spare Band, you can replace it with the help of one small four mouth screw driver and one small 1, 2 or 3 no. screw driver which you can get from any electronics/ computer hardware shop.
Band = Strap
You just need to remove the strap with the help of 1, 2 or 3 no. screw driver which ever you find convinent by removing the Spring Bars. After removing the strap put out spring bars from both sides as these may be used for again fixing the band.
If you find difficulty in removing the Band, you just need to unscrew the screws on for side of the watch case and remove the ring and after fixing the strap you can fix the ring again.
The new band can be fixed in the same way as it has been removed. You need to put the spring bar in the hollow space of strap and keeping the buckle side part of starp above the watch i.e 12 position over the space where it has to be fixed, then put one end of the Spring bar on one hole in the watch case and press the spring bar to get inside from other side (hole in the watch case). In the same way you can replace ******** other side.
In case of any difficulty take your watch to nearest Casio Service Centre for assistance or solution of problem.
