I have the IDENTICAL problem!! I've opened up the back and pulled the 100v 3300uf capacitor from the power supply board as it is bulging. I'm going to replace it tomorrow when the stores open (1:20am as I write this) - hopefully a common enough cap that I can find one in stock somewhere locally (GTA). Various information on line seems to point to this as the culprit. Fingers crossed it'll work...............

Replace the STK ICs STK329-110s use 120s They are big black ics will have PN# on them.
Mats has them 1-800-628-1118

Don't know what brand or model but sounds like you have a dlp set and the lamp blew, replace the lamp and should be ok.

my sony television is not showing a picture of have no sound, you hear the tv click on but nothing moel number is KP-41T65

Bad caps in the power supply must be replaced .

If your remotes are out of the room and you try to turn and it still wont come as it should ,then You have a problem with the power switch or the supply, your unit needs to go to the shop . Sorry. DFD

Its a power supply problem you can change the board and it should fix the issue
